THE DISCOVERY LAB

A wider lens.
More connections.

Building a worldwide directory takes more than searching for “connector manufacturers.” We follow the evidence across trade shows, technical standards, qualifications and local-language catalogs.

Follow the overlooked trails.

New consortium members. A name on a connector drawing. A qualified-products record. A factory announcement. An exhibitor sharing a booth. These are leads to investigate; official product and manufacturing evidence determines who belongs in the directory.

14 starting points. Many more paths.

Public sources selected for discovery. Membership or exhibition participation alone does not qualify a company as a manufacturer.

Local language. Global ambition.

Rotating searches cover China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, Eastern Europe and Latin America, alongside Europe and North America. Native-language queries help uncover companies that English directories miss.

Start with the connector family.

Our directory’s connector types are also a research map. We search each family name, interface standard and alternate spelling across regional and local-language sources, then check official product evidence against existing company names, aliases and domains.

The October 30, 2026 first pass added 27 manufacturer profiles with 127 source-linked family entries, covering automotive, RF, circular, optical and test interconnects. Examples include Goldenconn, Omnetics, HOLIN and US Conec. A second pass added 10 more manufacturers with 68 family entries and expanded four existing profiles with nine additional entries. Existing manufacturers can also gain newly verified product-family coverage.

Each pass records its sources and remaining research priorities. A completed first pass is not an exhaustive supplier census; operating brands and parent groups are checked to avoid duplicate company counts.

Evidence before an add.

  1. Find an identifiable connector or contact product family in an official catalog.
  2. Verify the company’s design or manufacturing responsibility; distinguish component manufacturers from distributors and assembly-only businesses.
  3. Check names, native names, domains, aliases and parent relationships against existing records.
  4. Record headquarters and evidenced manufacturing countries separately, with dated sources.
  5. Publish verified facts; hold uncertain candidates for review.
